On April 13, 2024, the Shandong Environmental Protection Industry Association organized a scientific and technological achievement review meeting in Jinan for the "Key Technologies and Applications of High Performance Reverse Osmosis Membrane Substrate Non woven Fabric Preparation" declared by Rixin Hengli.

The appraisal meeting was chaired by Academician Chen Feiyong from Shandong Jianzhu University, and the evaluation expert group was led by Academician Ma Jun from Harbin Institute of Technology. Academician Ni Shouqing from Shandong University, as well as experts from Wenzhou University, Qilu University of Technology, Shandong Urban Construction Design Institute (in no particular order) and other units participated in the evaluation work.

Qi Jingyun, Deputy General Manager of Sino Japanese New Hengli, reported to the expert group on the research and development background, development process, key technologies and quality control, achievements and application performance of "key technologies and applications for the preparation of high-performance reverse osmosis membrane substrate non-woven fabrics". The attending experts listened to the report, reviewed relevant materials, and after in-depth understanding, questioning, and discussion, unanimously agreed that the "key technology for preparing high-performance reverse osmosis membrane substrate non-woven fabric" developed by the project has solved the problem of fiber dispersion uniformity, improved the consistency and stability of non-woven fabric fibers, strengthened the coating penetration performance, and improved the adhesion between the coating and non-woven fabric substrate. Through original structural design, it has reached the international advanced level in this field, filled the domestic gap, not only achieved import substitution, but also has further room for improvement.

Rixin Hengli has broken through international monopoly and is currently the largest wet non-woven fabric manufacturer in China. It is also the first wet non-woven fabric manufacturer in China to be widely used in reverse osmosis membrane manufacturing. The product performance is comparable to imported products and has solved the problem of curling or wrinkling on the coating surface of Japanese non-woven fabrics after the coating layer is cured, receiving unanimous praise from multiple reverse osmosis membrane manufacturers. Rixin Hengli nonwoven fabric has played a strong and protective role in the domestic reverse osmosis membrane industry chain, greatly enhancing the international competitiveness of domestic reverse osmosis membrane products.
